Death of a Town

As a blogger this is my first post.

Recently I had gone to a small town called Chirawa in the Juhunjhunu district in the state of Rajasthan and I was amazed to see the impending death of this small but important town of Rajasthan. Nearly most of the old buildings constructed in the old style and with beautiful drawings on the outside are being demolished and being replaced by ugly so-called modern structures.

In fact the beauty of the drawings is that though several of them have been painted nearly 80 to 100 years back but still look as if they have been painted recently.

Thanks Sujata for liking the pictures. Yes it is such a shame to see these beautiful buildings vanish.

I can understand the pain that you must be going through seeing your town die an untimely death.
